Oriental Salad

This is such a great salad that my mother makes often, and it is ALWAYS a hit. It goes GREAT with heavy meals like  pasta and we have often with Thanksgiving or Christmas Meals. 

1 bunch leaf lettuce
1 onion, chopped (or green onions)
1/2 cup celery chopped
6 slices of bacon, crumbled
1 small can Mandarin oranges, drained
1cup sliced almonds
1 Tablespoons sesame seeds
2 cups of chow mein noodles or plain uncooked Ramen noodles
1/2 cup oil
2 Tablespoons vinegar
4 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon slat
Drain oranges. Cook bacon. Toast sesame seed, sliced almonds, and noodles together. Mix all the salad ingredients together except the noodle mixture. 
Mix all dressing ingredients together. Pour over salad, add noodles and toast shortly before serving.
