AND THE WINNER IS.............

Little pouches of applesauce started a trend that now includes on the go snacks as well as some baby food options. Little Green Pouch has kept up with the times and is just what I was looking for in a reusable pouch for my son's lunch box.
Little Green Pouch sent us a package (pack of 4) of their reusable food pouches which are fill-able thanks to a zipper top (that my 6 year old can not open easily), reusable, dishwasher and freezer safe AND BPA and Phthalate free. You can see the white strip in the picture below is a place for your child's name.
When I first saw this product I was SO EXCITED, then I thought about how hard they could be to clean BUT cleaning them is no trouble at all! When packed in my son's lunch box I rinse it out and toss it in the dishwasher (over the prongs on the top shelf). Once mine are washed, if I am not refilling right a way I store the lid inside the pouch like this to let air get in and make sure it is dried all the way.
I canned about 60 quarts of Apple Sauce this fall so there was no way I would be buying toss-able pouches of applesauce, which my Son LOVES, so this way he is happy and I am happy. They are also freezer safe and I keep saying I am going to put a smoothie in it and freeze to put in his lunch but just have not gotten around to it.
And our pouches are often found in the lunchbox. The ONLY issue we have had is my son has lost a top at school. So I am planning on ordering another pack along with some extra lids, and I think I will go on and get their funnel too since my funnels are all a little thin for applesauce etc to go through. But we just LOVE Little Green Pouch. You can also check them out on Facebook.

ReplyDeleteTwo of my three children just had a stomach bug. The only thing they could and wanted to eat was apple sauce from pouches. Expensive in the US, but even more so in China!! I will order some of your little green ones, for sure!! Great invention, thanks so much!!
