4 cups Mexican style shredded cheese
1/2 cup jalapeno slices (diced)
4 oz jar of diced pimentos
1 1/2 cups mayo
salt, pepper, and garlic to taste.(I don't use my House Seasoning since I like this a little salty)

I'm a pimento cheese fan -- learned to love it when I lived in Nashville. This is a great version.
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing!! Megan
ReplyDeleteYummy!! Thanks so much for linking up!
ReplyDeleteYou are so speaking my hubby's language ... he loves spicy and pimento cheese! Score on both counts! Pinning this to make it on Father's Day :) Thanks for sharing this at the {what's shakin' link party}!!
ReplyDeleteI love Pimento cheese! Jalapenos, love them too. I just have to try this! Just hopping over to invite you to link this up at Freedom Fridays. I am so hoping to see you there!
ReplyDeletePS I am now following you.
Oh my word...this brought back memories. I am originally from the north. When I came south for college my friends made fun of me because I had no clue what pimiento cheese was. Knowing what's in it Im not sure I could ever try it :( Thanks for sharing at Toot Your Horn Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteMY dad absolutely loves pimento cheese, and he puts hot peppers on almost everything. So I think he would love your recipe. I might just have to surprise him with a homemade batch. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday. Hope to see you again this week.
Blessings,
Liz @ The Brambleberry Cottage
What a great dip! Thanks so much for sharing at Mix it up Monday :)
ReplyDeleteSaw this on Mix it Up Monday. My family loves pimento cheese, and I make it often,,,but never with jalapenos. This sounds delicious, I know they will like it! I am a new follower. Patsy
ReplyDeletethere is a deli here in my town that sells their own homemade jalapeno pimento cheese spread, and I LOVE it so I'm very happy to come across this recipe!!
ReplyDeleteby the way, my absolute favorite thing to do with the jalapeno pimento cheese spread is twice baked potatoes!! Scoop them out, mash the insides along with lots of the cheese spread, and pile it back in the skins and bake till bubbly and browned on top! SO SO SO good!! perfect with steaks on the grill.
I make a spicy pimento cheese that has a can of Ro-tel in it....you can use the regular or the hot, or the Mexican! It is wonderful!
ReplyDeletethis sounds great! do you just make regular pimento cheese & add the rotel...drained or undrained?
DeleteOops! Sorry! I don't drain
DeleteYour post is really amazing
ReplyDeleteThis is SO much better than store-bought pimiento cheese! I really like the zing that the jalapenos add!
ReplyDeleteso glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteThis is so good! Made a batch for company last weekend. I don't like anything too hot so just added a few slices of jalapenos to give it the flavor. It was a big hit! I'm making a double batch to take to a reunion this weekend. Thanks for this recipe :) We like it with Sundried Tomato and Basil Wheat Thins.
ReplyDeleteso glad you enjoyed and thanks so much for letting us know you tried it and enjoyed
DeleteMade this today. So yummy!
ReplyDeleteso glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteDo you use salt AND garlic salt? I noticed in your picture you have a bottle of garlic salt, but in the ingredients you say garlic. I'm making it for a school bridal shower and want to make sure everyone doesn't rush the punch bowl! :)
ReplyDeleteI do use garlic salt and salt, I usually use more garlic salt than salt when cooking but like this a little more salty.
DeleteFantastic recipe! Thank you for posting :) I made this today for lunch(little variation)... spread thinly over the bread with Virginia Ham :) SOOO yummy! I will Never buy it at the store again :)

ReplyDeleteWanted to know if it you were using fresh jalapenos, canned/marinated ones. Just looking at the picture and wasn't too sure. Thank you!
I was wondering that as well. Photos look like marinated!
